Kûme Kusæ (/ˈkʊme/ /ˈkusæ/ [next] [usher]) is a subtropical Town located in Bysnow Dutchy, Zdrilesurogimave Provence, within the Dalandic Empire.

The name Kûme Kusæ is derived from the Wareneese language, as Kûme Kusæ was founded by Ghrinshiy Èqtêv Tsîbmêv, who was culturaly Wareneese.

Climate

Kûme Kusæ has a yearly average temperature of 23°C (73°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 19°C (66°F). Kûme Kusæ receives an average of 146 cm/y (57 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Overview

Kûme Kusæ was founded durring the late 14th century in winter of the year 1257, by Ghrinshiy Èqtêv Tsîbmêv. The establishment of Kûme Kusæ suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Kûme Kusæ which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Kûme Kusæ was built using the conventions of Wareneese durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kûme Kusæ is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Kûme Kusæ is was constructed arround several restrictive paverstone mainstreets which cross one another at certain axies, with smaller streets branching off of them to premit acess to the many buildings deeper into the road network. The overall fashion is remenessent of a circulatory system, or other organic construct, and is quite effishent in its design. The town rests behind a thick wall made from clay bricks. The wall has all of the proper fortifications and is well made. Unfortuantly the nature of clay brick leaves it quite vulnerable to siege equipment, though the thickness of the wall lends it simmilar resistnace to a thinner hardrock wall. Kûme Kusæ's millitarily questionable fortifications are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Kûme Kusæ is not quite well. Something happened here, perhapse recently, perhapse long ago. Whatever it was, it settled into the very soul of the town like a festering wound. The people go about their day well enough, but there’s a tention in the air you can cut with a knife.

Civic Infrastructure

Kûme Kusæ has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Kûme Kusæ has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Kûme Kusæ's citizens locals enjoy many vices and lustful appetites. They may have religious sanction for their deeds, or neighbors might trade with them for such things, or they could be followers of some ideology that blesses such pursuits. Their economy or their social organization is usually heavily reliant on such traffic, and to ensure its continuance they may have made bargains with various mortal and immortal powers.

Kûme Kusæ's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.

In Kûme Kusæ every night at precisely midnight every structure in town is engulfed by sailors fire until the end of the witching hour.
